Her body was cast out to sea after her official hanging by the old church. She had been conspiring with forest witches in search of a spell to conjure an antediluvian horde onto land. And there, amongst bristleworms, crayfish and snails, her flesh was consumed so only her bones lay illuminating the swampy undergrowth with their cold white glow, until she was again given life to continue her work, as life itself once came from the sea.
